The QEMA Archives collection consists of 2,538 documents and photos dating back to the early 1800s, some signed by well-known people from our past such as Egerton Ryerson and Isaiah Tubbs. 3,142 textbooks, reference books, and books related to education are now entered into a computer database that can be searched by anyone looking for information on educational trends, school life of yesteryear, or family history.
In the future, we plan to have a search function that will allow online viewers to see the documents and books that are available for research. Until then, those wishing to look for information on the history of education, or those interested in personal family research, are invited to contact QEMA by phone or email to arrange a visit. Our Archives Coordinator will be pleased to help you with your search.
